Drumming up old memories

Before I settled down and got married, and had 3 kids, I did other stuff, like play the drums.

If you notice, punk is a great type of music to play. You need no musical talent whatsoever.
Here's a "sound check".

Sandbox sessions continue

This weekend was pretty cool. Cleaned my bearings on Saturday (mineral spirits work very well), and skated Cunningham on Sunday. To my stokeness Morris Kyle and Bennet Hirada were there, and I said hello to both of them. Didn't have a camera, but Bennet was ollieing into the fullpipe from the little quarterpipes that bank up to it, then getting to 10 o clock, then busting airs on the gigantic walls of the bowl. Sick. Morris was busting almost 11 o clock and getting huge in the deep end. I learned backside pivots on the baby bowl, and skated in the ameoba a little and tried out the cradle. Got to start bringing a camera. Anyway, afterwards skated with the kids some and busted a kickflip on the rip saw.

We're the kids in America

My 3 sons ripping.
3 year old Adrian...

3 year old Anthony...

And the big 4 year old Andrew.
I'm thinking of getting the triple A tattoo.

That's a Schmitt Ripsaw reissue. Gnarly toys for good little boys.

The skate wide open

So the Lake Cunningham Regional Skatepark opened up on Saturday. I skated it on Friday and the grand opening on Saturday. The fullpipe alone is worth the price of admission. I could skate it all day. On Friday I pretty much did. I confess I am not able to use the park to its full advantage, but I still had alot of fun.
On Saturday, the grand opening was spectacular. Clay Wheels played, Cab and McGill were there, free swag for everyone, and Morris Kyle was ripping shit up.
I hope one day to get higher on the vert wall and grind that buttery pool coping.

Sorry, I am too lazy for picture taking but here's the local news clip.

So the wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary this weekend on the Strip. Lots of casino hopping and money losing.

Deal or...

Uh, I didn't go in here.

Waiting for the Meat

Still waiting for the new Cuntingham skatepark--can't wait to get served up on that 22 foot high pipe. Maybe I'll stay in the kidde area. C'mon SJ, get off your ass and cut the ribbon!
